This is the second keynote – The Image World by Jonathan Clarkson.
In this keynote I found out some very funny point also this topic is quite similar to my study group visual thinking. How we watch and think about an image?
For example this Mona Lisa, Which is the true image? In fact all are the true image but they are not the true Mona Lisa, because when you see it had already through a lot go technology, machine and light and every time it will change in different element, even tough they look it still in different condition. Certain number of quality of the painting can be translated from painting to photography, but the thing of texture you cannot translate to an object to photography and colour is not texture therefore it can be translated.
Another interesting thing is the way we think of image, the way we understand image and we never see a thing from the first time. For example we never think about in Disney film people just copy and actually they are totally the same. When I saw it I feel a bit disappointed.
This is the last thing, they use technology to show the thing is real but we cannot see. The peace colour of pink compare with the machine gun is terrifying. Lastly, as the photo said: we are inside the image also the image is inside us.
